Magnezit Group is investing in an expansion project at Slovmag AS in Lubenik, Slovakia, aimed at strengthening the Russian magnesia and refractories group’s position in Europe.
Claimed as the largest refractories producer in Eastern Europe, with a production capacity of 150,000 tpa bricks and monolithics, Slovmag was acquired by Magnezit in 2008 (IM 18 January 2008: Magnezit buys Slovmag).
