Industrial Minerals

News Services

Launched in 1967, Industrial Minerals (IM) remains the only international publication dedicated to covering supply and demand of non-metallic, non-fuel minerals. This monthly journal covers all aspects of the mine to market supply chain for industrial minerals with a mix of news features and regular departments. IM analyses markets as diverse as ceramics, refractories, abrasives, metallurgy, paints and coatings, paper, plastics, construction, fertilisers, chemicals, glass, and absorbents.

Launched in 1995, Mineral PriceWatch (MPW) has become firmly established as a unique and invaluable source of industrial mineral pricing information and data. Contact with numerous key producers, traders, and consumers of industrial minerals around the world allows MPW to accurately assess mineral price movements and trends, whilst retaining a trusted, independent viewpoint. In the same year, IM launched another monthly newsletter, North American Minerals News which ceased in 2002.

Directories & Books

In addition to our regular periodicals, IM publishes a wide range of acclaimed reference books and directories. These include the bestselling Industrial Minerals HandyBook, Industrial Minerals Directory, and Industrial Minerals: A Global Geology. Our books encompass virtually all aspects of the industrial minerals industry – from geology to specific markets.

Whatever your interest or level of experience, we are sure that we have a publication that can assist you in your business decision making. For a full list and descriptions of all our titles please review our Catalog of Products.

IM brings the industrial minerals world together through a series of topical and well targeted seminars and conferences. Unlike some industry events, our conferences are always commercially focused, with high quality presentations from speakers at the forefront of their sector. Most importantly IM conferences are recognised as valuable and effective forums to make contacts with both suppliers and consumers of industrial minerals, and above all, to do business.

IM was responsible for launching Metal Bulletin’s (MB) first conference, the 1st Industrial Minerals International Congress, held in London in 1974. IM now runs a series of well established industry events, including the IM International Congress & Exhibition, IM Forum & Dinner, Fluorspar, Chinese Industrial Minerals Conference, and most recently MagMin.

Meanwhile MB has expanded to run 25 events each year, including managed events for third parties, which together bring in some 6-7,000 attendees year on year.
